Belsize Park House

This house lies within the Borough of Camden and is part of the Fitzjohn’s Netherhall Conservation Area. We have undertaken many projects within the numerous conservation areas located within this borough, including in Hampstead. We liaise and submit applications on your behalf to the relevant authorities to achieve the best possible outcome for your objectives.

In this instance, the objective was to fully modernise a period house.  This house required extensive underpinning and the project included adding a Full Basement with a Swimming Pool, Shower/Change Room, Family Room and a Guest Bedroom.  Matters were complicated by the proximity of a venerable and large ‘Estate’ tree which had a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) protecting it.  All issues relating to these complexities were resolved with the Local Authority who granted approval for this ambitious and complex project.

The rest of the house was fully refurbished, reroofed, an integrated household automation media and lighting system added, as well as a number of custom detail and joinery elements.
